RESISTANCE CLASSES ACCORDING TO EN 1063
The bullet protection glass is categorized in accordance with DIN EN 1063 by means of a test with 3 bullet hits. The DIN EN 1063 standards replaced the DIN 52290 in Europe.

- BR1 = sidearm caliber .22 LR
- BR2 = sidearm caliber 9 mm parabellum
- BR3 = sidearm caliber .357 Magnum

- BR5 = rifle (buck) caliber 5,56 x 45
- BR6 = rifle (buck) caliber 7,62 x 51 soft core
- BR7 = rifle (buck) caliber 7,62 x 51 hard core
- SG1 = slug shot rifle (musket) caliber 12/70 (1 shot)
- SG2 = slug shot rifle (musket) caliber 12/70 (3 shots)

COMBINABLE AND SPLINTER FREE
Equally as important as bullet protection is the protection from a discharge of splinters, which is why bulletproof glass often has the abbreviation „S“ in its classification which stands for discharge of splinters when shot or „NS“ for no discharge of splinters when shot.
A so-called witness foil is used on the rear side of the glass in order to determine if splinters are discharged when shot at.
